This is the road in front of my house on a rainy winter night. The scene is from a couple of weeks back, it was cold and raining and I thought that the lights from the houses and the reflections on the street made for an interesting composition. This is the first time that I have painted a night scene and for some reason this painting looks somewhat European to me, I'm not sure why, Tennessee is a long way from Paris. But I did enjoy creating the painting and really like the effects of the reflected light. I hope that you enjoy it!
