New Iris 8 in. x 10 in. Oil On Panel - SOLD
This is a cluster of iris bulbs from my mother-in-law's house. These were dug up and and are being moved to another flower bed. I thought that the bulbs with the green leaves of the iris were interesting. And I felt that putting them in a composition with a somewhat expensive antique table made an neat contrast, especially with all of the dirt and dry leaves in the cluster. I hope that you enjoy the painting!

Still Life - Field Jacket
Field Jacket 14 in. x 18 in. Oil On Linen Canvas - SOLD
This is my old field jacket and my father in law's old early 1960's model Balda camera. I found this composition interesting from a couple of perspectives. I thought that the combination of my well used field jacket paired up with the old camera was somewhat natural. And for me this painting is a real study in gray's. There are gray-gray's, greenish-gray's, and brownish-gray's throughout the painting. I really like this one and I hope that you enjoy it too!

Daily Painting - Still Life - Flower In A Silver Creamer
Flower In A Silver Creamer 6 in. x 6 in. Oil On Panel - SOLD
This is a yellow buttercup in an old silver creamer. I had wanted to paint this little silver thing for a long time. I finally got to it today. I really like painting metal objects and trying to pair them up with other non-metallic items. I thought that the flower and the creamer partially in the light and partially in shadow made for a composition worth painting, especially with the tarnished reflections in the creamer. I hope that you enjoy the painting!

Daily Painting - Still Life - Belgian Endive
Belgian Endive 8 in. x 10 in. Oil On Panel - $275
This is a Belgian endive in a yellow saucer. I thought that it was an interesting looking vegetable so I paired it up with this curved saucer that I felt complimented the shape of the endive. I painted this one very realistically to try to get the most out of the composition. I hope that you like the painting!

Landscape - Grassland Winter
Grassland Winter 18 in. x 24 in. Oil On Panel - BID ON OR BUY THIS PAINTING.
To me this is classic rural winter terrain in Tennessee, lots of ocher, umber, sienna and grays. Winter is one of my favorite times of the year to paint landscapes, you are really able to get to the core of the structure of everything. This scene is on some of our family property near the Kentucky border. The property hasn't had maintenance since last summer so its completely rough and wild. We are cutting it later this week so this was the last chance this winter for me to paint this type of scene with the high grass. I hope that you enjoy the painting.

Daily Painting - Still Life - Three Flowers
Three Flowers 5 in. x 7 in. Oil On Panel - SOLD
These are three buttercups from my mother-in-laws house. Seems early to me for them to bloom, yet here they are. The vase belongs to my wife. I thought that the flower, steel, and glass combo made for a good composition. I hope that you enjoy the painting!

Daily Painting - Still Life - Porcelain Croquet Baseball
Porcelain Croquet Baseball 5 in. x 7 in. Oil On Panel - SOLD
This this is a porcelain ball, an old croquet ball, and a baseball. This painting was an exercise for me to try to paint something interesting out of similar items. My idea was to take three items of roughly the same size and shape but with different surface textures and hopefully add interest to it. I do like the result. I hope that you enjoy the painting!
