Weighing Coffee 16 in. x 20 in. Oil On Panel
This is a old metal scale, a pewter cup, and coffee beans. The scale came from the barn of a doctor friend and is probably very old, an antique I suspect. When I saw the scale it set the color scheme for the painting, lots of rusty earth tones. I really liked the light and the overall feeling of the composition. I hope that you enjoy the painting!

Still Life - Tarnished Silver Coffee Pot
Tarnished Silver Coffee Pot 11 in. x 14 in. Oil On Panel
This is a tarnished antique silver coffee pot, a wooden box, and a croquet ball, with a scrap of aluminum foil and plastic wrap. This was a painting that I wanted to do to test and stretch myself a bit. Tarnished metal, foil, completely round objects, and smooth wood have, at least for me, an element of difficulty beyond the norm and I wanted to try them together in one painting. Very challenging, and very fun to paint. I hope that you enjoy it!

Still Life - Cardboard, Canvas, And Bubble Wrap
Cardboard, Canvas, And Bubble Wrap 11 in. x 14 in. Oil On Linen Canvas - BID ON OR BUY THIS PAINTING.
The subject of this paintings is a group of things that are typically laying around my studio. Cardboard boxes, canvas scraps, and bubble wrapping. This painting is fairly tight realism, but to me the composition is somewhat of an abstraction. The abstract feel of the composition was more important to me than the actual items. I hope that you enjoy the painting!

Daily Painting - Landscape - Spring Field
Spring Field 8 in. x 10 in. Oil On Panel - SOLD
This is a scene from a farm very close to my house. The property is used to raise goats and is really attractive. It has acres of open fields with tall grass being typical, and a lot of grove areas with clusters of trees. I thought that the deep almost summer green of the trees really contrasted nicely with the grass that has a somewhat yellow or gold tint to it. I hope that you enjoy the painting!

Daily Painting - Still Life - Pink Hat
Pink Hat 12 in. x 16 in. Oil On Panel - SOLD
This pink antique hat has been on my wife's dresser since I can remember. I thought that the faded pink color and the antique wrought iron hat stand were interesting enough to put into a composition by themselves without other items laying around the table. I hope that you enjoy the painting!

Daily Painting - Still Life - Geranium Study
Geranium Study 5 in. x 7 in. Oil On Panel
This is a study of a group of geraniums that I did over the weekend. These are some of my wife's geraniums that are in a concrete planter in the yard. I thought that it would be fun to do a study of them without trying to make the painting too detailed. This turned out to be an interesting (at least to me) painting. With the light on them the flowers were a very bright red, almost orange and I thought that it contrasted well with the rougher painted green of the foliage. I hope that you enjoy it!
