The subject of this paintings is a group of things that are typically laying around my studio. Cardboard boxes, canvas scraps, and bubble wrapping. This painting is fairly tight realism, but to me the composition is somewhat of an abstraction. The abstract feel of the composition was more important to me than the actual items.
