This is an old glass doorknob, an antique silver spoon, and a spool of red thread. We have had several of these old glass doorknobs laying around the house for years. I finally decided to paint one of them. For this composition I put the spoon in to give some horizontal balance to the painting and I thought that the red thread added interesting color.
